Planning is actively underway for “The Great Amherst Mystery Clean-Up” taking place on May 4, 2024
Residents of Amherst, Nova Scotia are being petitioned to become local super heros, villians, monsters & creatures in order to secure their spots as local legends of Amherst Folk Lore.
Basically, we’re asking everyone to dress up and pick up trash and asking for your help to pull that off in the most safe and fun way possible!
With the support of 9 local businesses we are presently able to arrange an event for 40-50 individuals which will include gloves & materials for every participant, wrist bands, bbq & a star wars movie. Plus the actual collection and disposal of all collected garbage.
Prizes for “Most garbage collected”, “Most unusual find”, and “Best costume”
With 5 days remaining before we have to finalize this plan, we’re putting out the last call for any other groups, organizations or businesses looking to help us clean up Amherst on May 4, 2024.
